Exploring the cultures and traditions of Bharat

Bharat Ek Khoj - a new beginning

Bharat Ek Khoj - a new beginning

Karwar express from Bangalore to Mangalore. The serene beauty of the western ghats were mesmerizing and we were in awe of what was just 3 hours from Bangalore but took us 10 years to understand and acknowledge. This was our first time on this route and we had booked a vista dome coach to enjoy the views. As the train slowly stopped at a small hilly station of kukke subramainayam, dozens of devotees stepped out from the train and were set off on their divine journey. We continued our journey to Mangalore and were contemplating on the beauty of divinity and the purity of Bharat in its vast cultural heritage.  What we did not know then was that this journey was going to be the pillar and the first stone of what was to become Bharat Ek Khoj.

Backpacking from Mangalore till Gokarna, visiting Udupi Krishna to have breakfast in the middle of hills on route Srigeri Matham with pilgrims from diverse cultures. Sitting in gokarna’s beach and realising that Ravan travelled the whole stretch where Maha Ganapathi introduced himself in the form of a young boy. How Udupi krishna was based on Dvaita form of spiritualism and how Madhvacharya received the Krishna idols through ocean from dwarka to establish this beautiful temple.

Exploring the Cultures & Traditions of Bharat

Gopuram of Sringeri Matham, Sringeri, India
Murudeshwar Temple, India
(Left - Right) Vivek, Sesanka and Krishna at their last stop at Gokarna, India

All these experiences made us question our own identity and made us reflect upon our roots. Our vast cultural heritage lies in Akhand Bharat which is not just beautiful but takes you on a ride of thousands of years of music, language, knowledge and wisdom beyond its time. We promised ourselves on a journey which is bigger than us and a journey to make sure we pass on these traditions to our next generation. We promised ourselves Bharat Ek Khoj.

Bharat Ek Khoj is not just a journey through India or the Bharat it was, but a time travel into the past of Jumbudweep. From Ram to Krishna through Ramayan and Mahabharat and from Ganapathi to Ayyapapa. These texts not just tell you a story but many life lessons which can be beneficial to humans in the chaos of Kaliyug. The four pillars of Bhakti, Dhyan, Yog and Gyan all have secrets to live a healthy and a happy life.

Bharat Ek Khoj is a heartfelt search to discover, preserve and share bharat’s traditions and cultures to seekers across the globe using the latest technology. To create ecosystems to access this knowledge and implement them in the daily lives of people to lead a wholesome life. This search is not something which will have an end, this will go beyond our lifetime and will continue for decades to come. Given the amount of wisdom to discover, this story neither has a start or an end.

Chaliye Hamare Saath, Bharat Ek Khoj Pe!
